TRIUMPH TR6

With us at RFH Classics we have this 1970 (H) Triumph TR6 finished in Gloss Black with a stunning Red Leather interior trim and Red Mohair Hood. When we purchased the car it was driven back to the showroom from the former owner in Lincolnshire and I have to say it did drive exceptionally well with the 4 speed gearbox and optional factory overdrive switching in and out lovely and the car being very responsive. The brakes are positive and pull up very well.

The car has a substantial history file including details of a previous owner who took part in a number of high profile events with the car including various Parliamentary Car Runs, The Queens 80th Birthday Celebration and Charity Events where both he and the car were photographed with the likes of Sir Sterling Moss, Jeremy Clarkson and Damon Hill. We also found the car to be featured as one of the Oxford Diecast Series models, with one of them included in the history folder. This striking example represents one of the earlier examples with a six-cylinder Triumph GT6 Mk II engine and Fuel Injection fitted. It has just undergone a service and tune up including retiming of the fuel injection system and balancing of the throttle bodies. Also contained in the history file are invoices detailing a full strip and repaint (including hood-frame) in December 2015 as well as a new Stayfast mohair hood fitted at the same time. The car benefits from having both Half and Full tonneau covers.

Although exempt from needing an MOT included in our screen price we supply the car with a new MOT and 3 months warranty. This vehicle is eligible for zero rated historic road tax which when coupled with the low cost to insure these cars makes it a very cost effective classic to own.
