ROVER MINI

Just awaiting the sun to come out to update pictures – Here at RFH Classics we have this 1994 (M) Rover Mini Mayfair 1275cc finished in Bright Flame Red with Granite Velour trim. This little classic has just arrived with us after the previous owner lost his storage facility. The car has been dry stored for at least the past 5 years and the history file with the original Rover Service book, complete with 23 service stamps up to 2013 where the mileage was 25,522 indicate it may well have been stored for a lot longer. Within the history file and in addition to the service book we have lots of invoices for services undertaken along with MOT paperwork back to 2005 where it was recorded with 20,725 miles. In addition to the service and MOT paperwork there is the original purchase invoice from 1995 where the car was first sold to a Mrs Roberts of Herne Bay, Kent and showed her paying £7,234.07 for the car from Caffyns of Ramsgate, fabulous history to have for the car.

The Mayfair has the original Granite Velour Cloth trim and is complete with the Wooden Dash with the original Rover Radio Unit fitted, complete with Radio Code in the handbook. We have replaced the indicator stalk recently with an OE spec stalk as it had damage but apart from that the interior is very genuine and lovely. No mod cons avail the cabin of the Mayfair, inside you will find manual windows and no central locking along with seat belts for 4. The front seats all operate correctly to allow access to the rear passengers and the manual opening rear window allow for ventilation to those riding in the rear. Is this the charm of an old Mini though that they were very basic but did everything you needed of them.

Under the bonnet there is a ever reliable 1275cc lead free engine that is matched to a 4 speed manual gearbox which we can confirm drives very well. Due to the time the car was in storage we emptied and flushed the tank, which sadly was full when it arrived. For the MOT it needed a fuel pump relay and the smallest of repairs to the rear subframe but that is all done and now the car has an MOT until March 24. Included in the screen price of £7,995 the car will come with 3 Months Warranty.
