Here at RJH Cars have taken this delightful 1953 Split Screen Morris 1000 in part exchange recently. Since arriving with us we have run it through the workshop and done extensive work to overhaul the the suspension and brakes. She starts on the button and drives beautifully with no crunchy gear change, has wonderful Red Leather trim and is very solid underneath but the paintwork is sadly not quite up to standard, hence the price reflects this. You will probably have to travel a long way to find a car that drives as well as this one, it just needs a bit of TLC.

The car was registered in January 1953 as is fitted with the 918cc Side Valve Engine making it one of the last MM's before the introduction of the Series II. The four-door version was released was introduced in 1950, initially available only for export, and featuring from the start the headlamps faired into the wings rather than set lower down on either side of the grille. When production of the first series ended, just over a quarter of a million had been sold and yet nowadays these are a unusual sight on the road. The car still bears its age related plate that is worth around £1200.

Due to its age, the car is MOT is exempt however here at RJH Cars what we like to do with our classics is to give them a good inspection and ensure they meet current MOT standards.
