Just arrived back In stock with us here at RFH Classics we have this stunning 1972 (K) MGB Roadster that is finished in Tartan Red with Black Leather interior trim. We had the pleasure of selling this car last in May-23 to a lovely couple who had a dream to relax and enjoy the car at weekends, soon after delivery their business interests lead them to the Middle East and sadly this beautiful car has spent the past year stored in their heated garage and covered less than 100 miles since delivery. Following some negotiations we have happily secured the car back into stock ready for the new owner to enjoy.

This stunning example has the subject of a fully documented restoration between 1997 and 1998, as a part of the restoration the car was stripped down to bare metal, chemically treated for rust prevention and then finished with a beautiful repaint of the body. The panel gap on this car are second to none and a credit to the restorer. During the restoration the engine was rebuilt and converted to unleaded along with a powder coated suspension rebuild. As part of the finish the car was subjected to a Waxoil protection and the fitting of a new hood for weather protection although I doubt it has seen much rain since then! In 2016 the previous owner updated from the original Rostyle wheels that were fitted to the Chrome Wires seen today which significantly improves the car stance and appearance. In 2017 the Leather seats fitted during the restoration were replaced with the Red piped Leather seat covers that are fitted to the cabin today. The last but one owner owned the car for over 7 years and maintained the car to an exceptionally high standard that is documented in the extensive history file we have for the car.

The engine starts and runs at that the turn of the key and and has a very good oil pressure both cold and hot. The engine is paired with a 4 speed manual gearbox that has Overdrive fitted for 3rd and 4th gears. Having had the car previously we can confirm it drives exceptionally well and the overdrive works perfectly. In addition to the new seats covers being fitted the carpets and interior trim were replaced and are as good as new with the benefit of the Walnut dash to finish off the interior, for sure this is probably going to be one of the cleanest roadsters we will see this year.
