This beautiful 1973 (L) MGB GT has just arrived with us here at RFH Classics, finished in Damask Red with Black Trim edged in Red Piping. The car came to us from a long term previous ownership of 10 years but prior to this it was in his family for the 30 years before this. The car has undergone an extensive restoration that was finished about 5 years ago and has clearly been very well cared for. In the office we have the Heritage Certificate confirming the car is a matching number UK car that was supplied new through Murray & Charlton Ltd in Middlesbrough and left the factory in Damask Red with Overdrive and Rostyle Wheels.

As mentioned the car has been the very well restored, it was started about 7 years ago and took 2 years to complete. During the restoration the car was bare metal stripped, sills and floor replaced and then resprayed to the original Damask Red. The interior was retrimmed with the New seat cover and foams plus new Carpets, Wooden Steering Wheel, Headlining and a the Dash refurbishment. Under the bonnet there has been substantial work undertaken with the addition of a refurbished Heater, Unleaded Head Conversion, New Clutch, Aluminium Rocker Cover, Chrome Air Filters, New Exhaust, New Distributor and Alternator along with the addition of Electronic Ignition. The car underwent an MOT test in July of this year and comes with a clean MOT test until Jun-24. In the history file we have a photographic record of the work undertaken along with a schedule of the work and parts replaced. Having now driven the car for around 20 miles we can confirm the engine pulls well with both good cold and hot oil pressure with a fully working Overdrive. A check underneath confirms that this is as nice as the rest of the car and a real credit to the previous owner who has done an excellent job on the car.
