MG MGB

Just arrived with us here at RFH Classics we have this stunning 1972 (L) MGB GT finished in Flame Red with the very desirable, and well polished, Chrome wire wheels. This GT presents very well and has clearly been the subject of a good previous restoration and has a nice deep shine to the paintwork with great panels gaps. This car benefits from the full length Webasto style sunroof which has recently been overhauled. As shown in the pictures, the Chrome work to the car is in excellent condition with minimal marks. We have removed the Chrome Sill Covers and inspected the condition, the sills and paintwork underneath are as good as the rest of the car with pictures in the file to confirm for the new owner. Overall this car is in very good condition and is for sure going to turn some heads.

Internally this very attractive GT presents equally as nice, open the door and you are greeted with Black Leather seat trims that are edged with a body coloured matching Red trim. The leather on the front seats are in lovely condition with a rear bench seat that matches in Black with Red edge. The car has replacement Red carpets fitted to the cabin and boot areas which nicely contrast and offset the seats and the dash has been refurbished with the Walnut Style finish that to match with the Motalita Wood and Aluminium steering wheel.

Under the bonnet, which incidentally is as nice as the exterior of the car, sits the petrol 1800cc engine that has an aluminium rocker cover, electronic ignition, polished air filters along with the addition of an oil cooler. The engine is paired to a 4 speed manual gearbox which is fitted with the optional Overdrive to the 3rd and 4th gears. We can confirm the engine starts and runs well with great hot and cold oil pressure and that the Overdrive is all working correctly.

In the office we have a good history file for the GT that includes extensive old MOT tests dating back to 1989, these run all the way through until 2019 when the previous owner purchased the car and would indicate the mileage may well be correct having done less than 17k over the past 35 years. In addition the file also contains a large selection of receipts and invoices for work done to the car over the years.
