LOTUS EXCEL

With us here at RFH Classics we have this 1989 Lotus Excel SE finished in Champagne Gold metallic fitted with the optional Half Mink Leather with Beige Cloth. The history of the car verifies this exterior colour is one of the rarest colours for the year it was built and was one of only two built in the colour combination. The colour really suits the car and is very period for the year of build.

The bodywork is a remarkably well-preserved example with none of the wobbly panels commonly found on a resin structure car. The 16” Lotus Alloy wheels are in great shape and are shod with matching tyres all of which still have good tread. A lovely feature to see is that both front lights are working perfectly as do the other electrics of the car. Under the bonnet sits the Lotus embossed engine 2.2 power unit that runs exceptionally well and in the office, we have a substantial history file detailing regular maintenance carried out to the vehicle over the past few years. The car was originally owned by Lotus but sadly the early history to this car is limited but it does detail that the speedo was replaced by Lotus at 19,596 so please be aware this needs to be added to the indicated mileage. Prior to leaving us all our cars through an independent inspection and MOT Test and benefit from 3 months warranty.
